Wi-Fi service is limited by the distance and the type of equipment installed. We recommend that this service be used by customers whose locations are suitable for the deployment of this type of technology. When connecting to the Internet via Wi-Fi, the network quality is classified as "best effort" based on international standards. The actual Internet connection speed achieved varies according to factors such as the user's terminal Internet equipment, distance, the ambient environment of the location, and the bandwidth of the websites visited.
In order to comply with the provisions of the "Items to be Included and Not to be Included in the Standardized Contract of Gift Certificates for Telecommunications Products (Services)," starting from April 1, 2007, CHT will be authorizing a bank to provide full contract performance guarantee to the monetary amount represented in the calling cards issued by CHT. The guarantee period is one year, starting from the date the card is purchased. On July 6, 2008, the Bank of Taiwan began to provide contract performance guarantee. If the bank providing the contract performance guarantee is changed , CHT will make public announcement that the new bank will be responsible for providing the required contract performance guarantee.
If user has not transferred any data for more than 10 minutes, this Service will automatically log the user off and terminate the connection. The user will not be charged for the 10-minute idle time. To prevent the limited resources of each Hotspot from being dominated by a few users for an extended period of time, This Service will automatically disconnect users who are connected for more than 4 hours. Users who wish to continue using the service may log in again.
